Summary

The study examines the long-term impact of the state on the economic development of certain developed countries and Bulgaria through budgetary, educational, scientific, and technological policies. Fundamental conclusions have been drawn that are useful both for the Bulgarian state’s policy on progress in the qualitatively new realities of the 21st century, which are becoming increasingly globalized, and for theoretical knowledge regarding the contemporary role of the state. The monograph is intended for senior government institutions, economists, faculty members, and students at higher education institutions specializing in economics.
