Engineering Sciences

“Engineering Sciences” is the successor to and continuation of “Technical Thought”, a journal founded in 1964 by Academician Angel Balevski at the Technical Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS). Today, the journal is published by the Division of Engineering Sciences of BAS. Its host institution is the Institute of Metal Science, Equipment and Technologies with Hydro- and Aerodynamics Centre “Acad. A. 
Balevski” at BAS.

Since 2020, *Engineering Sciences* has been published exclusively in English, with four issues per year, and is available in both print and electronic formats.

The journal publishes original research articles in a broad range of engineering disciplines, including automation, cybernetics, electrical engineering, computer science, architecture and urban planning, water-related engineering, engineering mechanics, materials science, metals and alloys, amorphous and nanocrystalline materials, engineering technologies, environmental engineering, engineering security and safety, as well as applied research in these fields. Review articles are also accepted for publication.

Contributors include researchers from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, university faculty members, and specialists from industry and research organizations in Bulgaria and abroad.

All submitted manuscripts undergo anonymous peer review. Publication decisions are made by the Editorial Board based on the recommendations of independent reviewers. The journal relies on distinguished Bulgarian and international experts to ensure the scientific quality of published papers.
The journal is distributed in Bulgaria through subscriptions and direct sales, while international dissemination is supported through exchange agreements with libraries and academic institutions worldwide. As a result, *Engineering Sciences* reaches leading universities and research libraries around the world.

The journal maintains an English-language website. Since 2017, full-text articles have been available online, while earlier issues include article abstracts in both Bulgarian and English.
Since 2018, all published articles have been assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref, providing a permanent and unique identifier for each publication.

„Списание на БАН“ е общоакадемично списание, орган на Българската академия на науките. То е наследник на „Периодическо списание на Българското книжовно дружество“.

Journal Technosphere

"Technosphere" is a scientific and informational journal whose articles cover the latest advances in science, engineering, and technology across various sectors, including industry, energy, transportation, information and communication technologies, nanotechnology, biotechnology, space and aerospace engineering, construction, economics, agricultural engineering and technology, physical and chemical engineering issues, as well as issues related to innovation, high technology, science, and education.

The journal “Technosphere” is intended for the academic engineering community, a wide range of engineers, economists, agricultural specialists, university students, high school students, and curious readers with diverse interests.

Journal Nature

“Nature” journal is published by the “Prof. Marin Drinov” Publishing House of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. In 2013, the magazine celebrated its 120th anniversary. Although its publication was suspended at certain times, it has always enjoyed high prestige, distinguished by high-quality scientific information in the field of natural sciences, presented in accessible language.

In the pages of the journal, Bulgarian scientists have the opportunity to report on achievements in the fundamental and applied sciences, medicine, and technology, both in Bulgaria and around the world. The modern look of “Nature” journal and the unique information it contains are aimed at an audience of curious and active people who see it not only as a source of contemporary scientific information but also as a space for creative discussion and self-expression through their own articles and photographs.

The journal publishes original articles reflecting the achievements of Bulgarian and global science. All articles undergo peer review, though the style remains accessible to a non-specialist audience.

The publication is included in the National Reference List of Contemporary Bulgarian Peer-Reviewed Scientific Publications maintained by National Centre for Information and Documentation (NACID).
