Summary

The monograph is a completed scientific study related to the design and construction of a new type of information service on the Internet - portfolio optimization. The peculiarity of this service is that it requires the implementation of complex algorithmic data processing, such as optimization. For this purpose, new methods for solving quadratic programming problems have been designed and developed. The methods are based on author's developments, known in the theory of hierarchical systems as non-iterative coordination. These methods implement rapid solution of optimization problems for the allocation of financial investments. The presented results are in the cross-cutting areas of optimization theory, information technology and portfolio economic theory. The program implementation of the information service and its modes are presented with detailed explanations.

About The Authors

• Krasimira Stoilova: She was born in Sofia. Her professional interests are in the field of information systems, multidimensional systems, optimization, real-time. In 1975 she graduated as an electrical engineer (automation) from TU (Technical University) - Sofia. In 2005 she became Doctor of Technical Sciences, Institute of Computer and Communication Systems - BAS 1996; Associate Professor - Institute of Computer and Communication Systems – BAS; PhD at the Institute of Technical Cybernetics, Academy of Sciences, 1980. From 2010 until now, she has been an Associate Professor, DSc. Institute of Information and Communication Technologies – BAS. Throughout 1994 - 2010 she worked as an Associate Professor, DSc. Institute of Computer and Communication Systems – BAS; during 1990 – 1994 she was a researcher, PhD. TSLBA in BAS-1982 - 1990: Research Associate, Dr. TSLSU in BAS-1980 - 1982: Programmer at ITCR BAS-1976 - 1979: PhD student at the Institute of Technical Cybernetics, Academy of Sciences. She is a member of the Union of Automation and Informatics in Sofia, and the Bulgarian Committee of IFAC (International Federation of Automatic Control."
