Zhivko Danailov is one of the most famous tomato breeders in Bulgaria. After graduating with a university degree and a doctorate, from 1973 to 2010 he worked at the Institute of Genetics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, where he defended his dissertation and became a doctor of agricultural sciences and professor. He taught at the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Forestry. His research is in the field of genetics and selection of cultivated plants, in particular related to heterosis in tomatoes. He has published over 180 articles, 6 brochures, is the author and co-author of 23 varieties of tomatoes. He is currently Chairman of the Scientific Expert Commission on Agricultural Sciences at the Scientific Research Fund at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science.ISBN: 978-954-322-502-6
