Maria Koleva
Maria  KolevaMaria Koleva is a PhD in Contemporary German History at the Institute for Historical Studies at BAS. She graduated from Sofia University ‘St Kliment Ohridski’ with a degree in History. In 1986 she obtained a PhD from Leipzig University; her research topic was ‘The Krupp Corporation and its role in arming Nazi Germany’. Her areas of research expertise include the development of Germany and its economic policy in South-East Europe, including Bulgaria, between the two world wars. She has published research on topics such as Germany’s domestic and foreign policy, German economic policy in south-east Europe and the monographs: ‘Collegium Germania 3. The role of economic relations with Germany in Bulgaria’s development since 1930s’ and ‘Doomed and saved. Bulgaria in the Third Reich’s anti-Semitic agenda. Research and documents’.
