The specialized representative publication World Heritage of Bulgaria is dedicated to the values ​​on the territory of Bulgaria, included in the World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. The list was compiled at the initiative of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - UNESCO. The topic introduces an article about the Convention for the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage. It introduces for the first time the general reading public to the care for the protection of world values, taken for decades by UNESCO. The conditions for determining the sites as cultural and natural values ​​and the order of their inclusion in the World Heritage List are described in detail. Separate articles provide specific data on the nine Bulgarian values, part of the world heritage - the Kazanlak Tomb, the Sveshtar Tomb, Nessebar - the Old Town, the Madara Horseman, the Boyana Church, the Rock Churches near the village of Ivanovo, the Rila Monastery, the Pirin National Park and the Srebarna Reserve. The authors are prominent scientists – specialists from institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the National Institute for Cultural Monuments, etc. They are witnesses of the discovery, research, restoration and preservation of Bulgarian cultural and natural sites, of their proposal to the UNESCO World Heritage Committee to be recognized as part of the world's wealth. The article for each site begins with a geographical characteristic and a description of the location. Bulgarian values ​​are examined as part of the natural environment and in the context of historical events that have influenced their existence. These factors help or hinder the care for the survival and preservation of Bulgarian cultural and natural heritage to this day. For the first time, the efforts of multidisciplinary teams for the research, conservation and restoration of Bulgarian values ​​are described.
