Iskra Beleva
Iskra  BelevaProf. Dr. Iskra Beleva, works at the Institute for Economic Research of BAS, Department of Macroeconomics. Shee teaches in master's programs at NBU and Sofia University "St. Cl. Ohridski ”. She is the author of articles, studies and books on labor market issues. Participates in international projects within European programs, the World Bank and the International Labor Organization. She is a consultant on labor market issues of a number of national and international institutions, a member of scientific networks at the European Commission on labor mobility and on employment and gender equality. Coordinates international projects under the UN Development Program.
Georgi Shopov
Georgi Shopov, Ph.D., works at the Institute for Economic Research of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Macroeconomics Section. He is the author of articles, studies and books on the problems of social assistance, social security and regional social development. He has participated in over 60 research projects funded by international and national programs and institutions. He has repeatedly been a consultant to the World Bank, the United Nations Development Program, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the International Labor Organization, and the United States Agency for International Development. In the first half of the 1990s, he worked as an adviser in the Council of Ministers, Deputy Minister and Secretary General in the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
Pobeda Lukanova
Pobeda Lukanova, PhD, defended her dissertation at the Institute of Economics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Since 2008 she has been teaching at the University of Veliko Tarnovo “St. Cyril and Methodius". In 2011 she was elected head of the Department of Organization and Methodology of Social Activities at the Faculty of Economics (VTU). In 1996-1997 she worked as Deputy Head of the Employment Agency. Participates in projects of international organizations, such as the European Commission, the United Nations Development Program and the World Bank, as well as the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
Iordan Hristoskov
Yordan Hristoskov is a professor in the Macroeconomics section of the Institute for Economic Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and vice-rector of the Higher School of Insurance and Finance - Sofia. He is the author of monographs, scientific studies, articles and reports on social policy and social security, labor market, infrastructure and regional development, published in Bulgaria and abroad. He held the positions of Deputy Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Welfare (1991–1995), Advisor to the President of the Republic of Bulgaria on Social Affairs (1995–1997) and Governor of the National Social Security Institute (2000–2009). He is a member of the Bureau of the International Social Security Organization, consultant and expert on a large number of projects and events of the World Bank, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the United Nations Development Program, the European Commission and others.
Vasil Canov
Vasil Tsanov, PhD, works at the Institute for Economic Research of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He is a lecturer at VTU "St.St. Cyril and Methodius". His research interests are in the field of applied econometrics, labor market, income and income policy, poverty and social inequality. There are many publications at home and abroad on employment, unemployment, working conditions, wages and poverty. Participates in a number of international projects of the European Union and the International Labor Organization.
