Summary
For the third consecutive year, in early November around the Day of the National Awakeners, the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with the Ethnographic Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences organized a large-scale initiative to celebrate important and significant national anniversaries and jubilees. The event included a variety of events, providing interactive frameworks for numerous creative ways to thematize and revitalize cultural heritage. As in the previous two editions of this initiative (Miladinov Days 2011 and Shishman Days 2012), the events of the fall of 2013 attracted researchers, diverse audiences, and many admirers of the scientific, cultural, ethnographic, and folklore heritage.
The events organized under the title "Heritage Days 2013" summarize many important anniversaries for us and for Bulgarian culture: 190 years since the birth of Nayden Gerov, 175 years since the birth of Marin Drinov, 150 years since the birth of Lyubomir Miletich, 135 years since the birth and 35 years since the death of Mihail Arnaudov, 110 years since the birth of Filip Kutev and 80 years since the birth of Kiril Stefanov.
