Vasil  NikolovVasil Nikolov is a physical geographer and geomorphologist whose areas of research expertise are mountain relief and tourism. He has unrivalled knowledge of every Bulgarian mountain. There is no mountain he has not been to: he has scaled them all enjoying breathtaking sights and memorable moments. He is the leading author of the book ‘Bulgarian Mountains’, which is no random choice. He has written a lot of articles in specialized scientific journals and in the periodical press. Vasil Nikolov is the author of ‘The Seven Lakes’ (1990), ‘The Magic of the Seven Lakes’ (1999) and ‘Encyclopedic Guide of the Car-tourist’ (2001).
Marina Iordanova
Marina  IordanovaAssociate Professor Dr. Marina Yordanova is a hydroclimatologist with scientific interests in the field of complex physical geography and the problems of human-nature interaction. The breadth of her knowledge is manifested in the diverse topics of her research, reflected in over 100 publications, several collective monographs: "Geography of Bulgaria" (1982, 1989, 1997, 2002), "Geography and Nature Management" (1985); geography textbooks for secondary schools, as well as in her long-term teaching activity at VTU and SWU. She was the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal Problems of Geography and is now a member of its editorial board.
Ivanka Boteva
Ivanka  BotevaIvanka Boteva is a physico-geographer, long-time editor of the magazine "Problems of Geography", as well as a number of scientific monographs and collections: "Geography of Bulgaria" (1997), "Morphotectonics of the Balkan Peninsula", "Landslides in the Rhodopes and their strengthening" , "Administrative and territorial organization of the Republic of Bulgaria", "Geographical Terminology Dictionary" and others. She is the author of scientific articles, biographical essays, book reviews and announcements for scientific forums. Her inclusion as an author in "Mountains in Bulgaria" contributes to the more in-depth processing, supplementation and editorial design of the third edition.
