Milko KanazirskiMilko Kanazirski was born in 1936. First, he graduated Geochemistry (1959), and later - Chemistry (1969) in Sofia State University (now Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski"). In 1964 he joined as a research associate in the Geological Institute. In 1982, he received the degree Candidate of geological-mineralogical sciences, in 1996 he became Doctor of Sciences in 1999 - Senior Research Fellow I degree. Between 1978 and 1985, he was Deputy Director of the Laboratory of Experimental and Technical Mineralogy and BAS Deputy Director of the Institute of Applied Mineralogy, Sofia. He was a member of the Academic Council at MTC Academy of Sciences and a member of the Specialized Scientific Council of geological sciences at the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) and the Scientific Council of the Geological Institute. He has course "Wallrock alterations" for a master`s degree in Mining and Geology "St. Ivan Rilski"- Sofia. In 1972-1974, he worked in the composition of a group of geological mapping of the contract between Cuba Cuban Academy of Sciences and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He has specialized in Academician VA Zharikov Institute of geology of ore deposits, petrography, mineralogy and geochemistry BP in the USSR and the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Siberian Department of Academy of Sciences of the USSR. He has a perennial scientific cooperation and joint publications with the eminent scientists Professor Dr. I. P. Ivanov and Prof. Dr. G. P. Zarayski from the Institute of Experimental Mineralogy in the USSR Academy of Sciences (today: Russian Academy of Sciences), representatives of the head in world science petrological physicochemical school of Academician D. C. Korzhinski. The scientific interests of Prof. Prof. Milko Kanazirski are in metsomatic petrology with emphasis on physical chemistry processes wallrock alterations - physical-chemical analysis of mineral paragenesis, experimental modeling of mineral equilibria and metsomatic zoning and numerical modeling of processes metsomatic. The original scientific contributions of the authors are associated with the study of the system K2O-Al2O3-SiO2-H2O-SO3, characteristic of acid-sulfate wallrock alteration type and crystal-chemistry aspect (structural and energy) of metsomatic processes.
