Ivanka Gergova
Ivanka Yordanova Gergova is a professor, doctor of art history at the Institute for the Study of Arts at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, where she is a member of the research group on medieval and Renaissance art. He is the author of five monographs, three catalogs and co-author of four collective monographs and one collective catalog, as well as dozens of studies and articles in Bulgarian and foreign collections and periodicals. She has participated in scientific forums in Bulgaria, Russia, Poland, Serbia, the Republic of Macedonia, Greece. She was a scholarship holder of the Voltaire, Paul Getty and Onassis foundations, as well as a participant and leader of a number of collective projects at the Institute for the Study of Arts at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Her research interests are in the field of Orthodox medieval and late medieval art - architecture, woodcarving, painting, decoration of the manuscript, graphics, to various issues such as the relationship of image, text and ritual; the movements of masters and artistic teams and the exchange of ideas.
