Summary

This book presents the results obtained under the project "Optimal safe loading and geometry for layered nanocomposites under thermo-mechanical loading". It consists of 6 chapters, divided into two parts - Modeling of nanocomposites (4 chapters) and Optimization of nanocomposites (2 chapters). The first two chapters are devoted to analytical modeling methods and ways for identifying the key factors affecting delamination in nanocomposite structures under mechanical loading and temperature differences. The third and fourth chapters discuss methods for numerical modeling of structures with nano-heterogeneities such as inclusions, pores or cracks under dynamic loading; the factors affecting their dynamic behavior
are also determined. The final two chapters provide a review and analysis of the methods for optimizing nanocomposite structures, as well as the results for the optimal safe values of the geometry and loads of nanocomposite structures through multi-parameter optimization.
