The rule of Emperor Justinian I (527–565) marked an epoch of great importance in Christian Church history. Emperor Justin I (519–527) puts an end of the first official shisma between Rome’s and Constantinopol’s churches which completes the first stage of the various postchalkidonian debate on christological questions. When his nephew Justinian I assumed the power that discussion came into new , more many-sided phase with opinions and views strongly defended, where the Emperor’s personality has a considerable role.
