The monograph is dedicated to corn - the second crop in land area and importance for our economy. It describes the more recent opinions about its origin, import and distribution in Europe and the world, and in our country. World and our sources, chronicles of travelers, official Bulgarian and foreign documents in the period before the Liberation and after were used. A separate section provides information about the directions and successes in the selection of corn and the main issues of technology developed in our country, more significant achievements and their widespread use in production. There is a place for the seed production of corn, for the production for different directions of the economy, the food industry and the trade in corn around the world.
