This collection represents an effort by the staff of the Section for the History of the Bulgarian Language at the “Prof. Lyubomir Andreychin” Institute of the Bulgarian Language to continue the tradition of making classical literature accessible to the modern reader—whether a specialist in one of the fields of Bulgarian studies—history, philology, folklore, etc.—a student, or simply a curious person. It was developed within the framework of the National Program “Development and Promotion of Bulgarian Studies Abroad,” and thus aims to enrich foreign scholars of Bulgarian studies with new insights into Bulgarian literature and language in a diachronic perspective.
