Summary

The book contains extremely intriguing and provocative findings describing the attitudes and psychological readiness of Bulgarians to use deviant shady practices in their daily economic behavior. Given the significance of the conclusions made, the monograph could be useful both for the scientific community and especially for researchers of deviant behavior and the "shadow economy", as well as for a wide range of social scientists and management practice. In addition to analyzing attitudes toward recognizing and using deviant behavioral patterns, the monograph offers an original view of the four habitus of informality and highlights eight behavioral patterns typical of an anomic society. The factors determining the choice of deviant behavioral models are critically analyzed and on this basis it is recommended how these factors could be managed so as to create preconditions for the return of individuals to socially sanctioned behavior. The book can be used as additional literature and teaching aids in the training of doctoral students and students in sociology, psychology, public administration, management and a wide range of social and economic specialties.
