The Dictionary of the Samokov Dialect is a natural continuation of the monograph The Samokov Dialect by the same author, published in 2002. It brings together the rich vocabulary of the ancient southwestern Samokov dialect. The largest number of lexemes are complete dialectisms, but there are also many that are partial semantic, word-forming, and morphological variants of words accepted in the literary language. Each lexeme in the dictionary is accompanied by rich and authentic illustrative material. Both the monograph "The Samokov Dialect" and the "Dictionary of the Samokov Dialect" are of interest to specialists in Bulgarian studies, Slavic studies, language history, ethnography, and folklore, both in Bulgaria and abroad.
