The commemorative anthology "A.S. Pushkin and Bulgarian Culture" is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the brilliant Russian poet. This is the first and only comprehensive and representative study of its kind in Bulgaria in this field. The book contains original studies on the penetration, reception, and rightful place of Pushkin’s work in our national cultural space. The fate of the “Bulgarian Pushkin” is examined in the context of the active Bulgarian-Russian intercultural dialogue and its complex dimensions in literature, theater, opera, ballet, cinema, and librarianship, with a view to the historical dynamics of the reception strategy.
