Corresponding Member Stefan Hristov Hristov, Ph.D., graduated from the Technical University (then VMEI) in Sofia, majoring in Mechanical Engineering Technology in 1962 and entered the Ruse Shipyard (former KKZ Ivan Dimitrov), where He has been working as an engineer-technologist, senior technologist and head of the Welding Department since 1978. He has been a successor, senior assistant, chief assistant and associate professor at the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" (former VIMMESS) and deputy dean of the Machine In 1986–1987 he was an associate professor and dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the branch of the Technical University in Plovdiv, and since 1988 he has been an associate professor and professor at the Institute of Metallurgy, Equipment and Technologies and Center for Hydro- and Aerodynamics (IMSTCA), the former Institute of Metallurgy at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, in 1974 he defended the scientific-educational degree "Doctor" (then Ph.D. technical sciences. ”In 2004 he was elected a member - Correspondent of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Corresponding Member Ph.D. Stefan Hristov works and works in the field of welding science and practice. He has over 250 publications in Bulgarian and foreign editions, as well as two monographs. He has 9 copyright certificates. He has led and participated in over 100 scientific and applied projects, 11 of which are in international programs. He is a member of the Scientific Council of IMSTCA, chairman of the Management Board and a member of the Executive Bureau of the Bulgarian Welding Qualification Center, a member of the National Council of the Bulgarian Welding Union, an expert in a number of organizations. He has been one of the editors of the international journal Journal of Materials Science and Technology since its inception. He was awarded the badge of honor of BAS "Marin Drinov" on a ribbon, a gold medal from the World Exhibition of Young Inventors "EXPO - 91", as well as a number of other awards. "
