Summary

Volume 10 of the series "Problems of Bulgarian Folklore" publishes the reports and scientific communications read at the Ninth International Symposium on Folklore Problems, held in Sofia from October 3 to 5, 2002. The scientific event was organized by the Institute of Folklore at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Faculty of Slavic Philology at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Over eighty papers were presented by representatives of academic institutes, higher education institutions, cultural institutes and organizations, regional museums in the country, as well as by foreign scholars from France, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, and Romania.

Ethnomusicologist, Doctor of Arts, Associate Professor at the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore with the Ethnographic Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences; university lecturer in ethnomusicology and musical folklore. She has worked as a leader and participant in 22 research projects in the field of ethnomusicology, anthropological musicological research, the study of local ethnocultural and musical traditions, cultural identity, collective memory, migration processes, Bulgarian communities abroad, ethnological research, intercultural interactions. She has many years of experience in field ethnological research in Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, Turkey. She has published over 120 scientific studies and articles at home and abroad.
