Summary

Croatian bulgarshtitsi are part of the South Slavic epic tradition. They are the oldest records of South Slavic heroic songs to date. They are found in Croatian manuscripts from the 16th to the mid-18th centuries. The collection aims to present in one place the small number of articles and statements by Bulgarian authors on the subject of bulgarshtitsi, in order to make them accessible to all who are interested. For the first time, the materials collected from the field in our country are published in full and commented on.
