The monograph summarizes many years of archaeological research on two monumental buildings from the 9th-10th centuries, located in the Inner City of Veliki Preslav. The results contain new data on the history of the city. With its character and location, the discovered architectural complex represents an important connecting link in the urban structure of the Preslav palace center. The numerous and diverse archaeological materials discovered show that the buildings were inhabited by wealthy citizens of Preslav, including high-ranking military officers, administrators, and other citizens belonging to the class of those close to the royal palace.
