The Bulgarian-Turkish dictionary, compiled by G. Klasov and S. Nikolov, appeared in our bookstores in 1957. At that time, timid steps were being taken in our education to create a material support for the acquisition of the literary Turkish language in Bulgaria. Carefully edited by G. Galabov and T. Deliorman, the dictionary, although called "educational", turned out to be much more useful than its compilers expected. For decades, not only in our country, but also abroad, many and many people who know Turkish and get acquainted with the Bulgarian language have been using the dictionary, relying on their knowledge of Turkish.
