Petar Cholakov
Petar Cholakov is an assistant professor in political conflicts in the section "Social control, deviations and conflicts" of the Institute for the Study of Societies and Knowledge - BAS, part-time lecturer / assistant at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ”and UNWE. He was born in 1978 in Sofia, where he graduated from NGDEK "Constantine-Cyril the Philosopher". Master of Political Science - Foreign Policy and National Security (Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", 2002); Master of Political Philosophy - The Idea of ​​Tolerance (University of York, UK, 2003, Chevening / OSI Fellow); Doctor of Political Science (Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", 2009). He specialized in British Domestic Policy at the London School of Economics (2003, Hansard / Chevening Scholar). He has worked as an intern at the BBC, Westminster Political Research Unit, London (2003) and as an intern at the Action against Discrimination Unit, DG Employment, the European Commission (2009-2010). Dr. Cholakov is the author of a number of scientific articles, journalism and translations. Apart from the field of the history of political thought, his research interests are in the field of analysis of ethno-political conflicts and political institutions in Bulgaria and the EU.
