Genoveva Mihova
Assoc. Prof. Genoveva Mihova, Doctor of Philosophy, graduated from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ”, specialty“ History ”. In 1990 he started working at the newly established Institute of Demography at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, transformed in 2002 into a Center for Population Studies, and in 2010 - into an Institute for Population and Human Studies. Her research activities are in the field of demography and sociology. Her research interests focus on the demographic aspects of the socio-economic transformations in the transition, on the manifested changes in the demographic orientations and behavior and in the tendencies in the reproduction of the population. As a manager of international projects she has studied the social division of labor by gender, changes in labor in a market economy and their impact on demographic behavior, age restructuring and more. The fruit of her research is the current work, which traces the demographic experience of Bulgaria in terms of traditions and modern dimensions of its demographic policy. She is the author of 7 individual or collective monographs and more than 90 scientific studies and articles.
