The collection of articles in memory of Prof. DSc Evgenia Mitseva “Myths. Folklore. Ethnicities” includes close to twenty texts, an evidence of the esteem and high regard for her of the authors who have worked together with her as well as of those whose teacher she has been. The articles are organized according to subject in sections dealing with problems in the fields of mythology, demonology, rituals and folklore, as well as transformations in cultural and ethnic specifics, the ethnic aspects of cultural heritage and identity, and more. A special section “Along the Paths of Memory” offers reminiscences about the human being and academic Evgenia Mitseva.

A prominent researcher, Prof. Mitseva left a significant trace in different fields of humanitarian knowledge. She also left behind students and followers and is forever present in the hearts of her colleagues.

We hope that this anthology will touch its readers, bringing back to some of them their colleague Zheni, to others – their teacher Evgenia, and inspiring all of them to ponder the wide circle of problems that captivated the researcher Evgenia Mitseva.
