• Bonka Daskalova

Dr. Daskalova is a graduate of the Department of Slavonic Studies at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", where she graduated in the subject "Bulgarian and Russian literature". At the same department she defended a master`s degree on the thesis "Linguistic style of publications in the works of Raycho Daskalov". After defending the thesis "St. Nicodemus Tismanski - religious activist, writer and hesychast", she was awarded the academic degree "Doctor of medieval history”. Since 1981 she has been a regular lecturer at the Institute for Foreign Students (now Department of Language Studies at Sofia University). Language specializations in French, English, Romanian and Greek language allow Dr. Daskalova to explore topics in various fields of knowledge such as linguistics, literature, sociolinguistics, methods of teaching foreign languages, history and cultural history. She is a lecturer in various foreign universities in Romania, Russia and France. She is the author of numerous publications in Bulgarian and foreign languages as well as of scientific and popular publications in Romania, Russia, Macedonia.
