Associate Professor Dr. Alla Kirova is a member of the team of the Institute for Economic Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Macroeconomics Section. Her publications are in the following areas: social reform; inflation and income redistribution; consumer protection; family policy; social aspects of tax policy; socio-economic impacts and effects of the shadow economy; social protection of children and mothers; equality between women and men; history and development of economic theory; theory of human capital. Participates in a number of research and applied projects funded by governmental and non-governmental institutions and international programs. Long-term lecturer in the subject "History of Economic Studies".
