Анотация
The book includes biographical and creative data on over 300 scientists and lecturers, of whom about 50 are professors and associate professors. The number of doctors is over 250, and of engineers over 70. There are over 200 artists and cultural figures and over 200 clergy, three of whom are archbishops. An important part of the publication is the supplemented and updated "Chronicle of the cultural and literary life of the Russian emigration in Bulgaria (1919-1940)" by Dr. Galina Petkova, Associate Professor at Sofia University. It reveals in detail and in many ways the rich social and cultural life of the Russian emigration in Bulgaria from this period. An essential feature of the publication remains the existence of individual lists of original publications of scientists, teachers and other representatives of the Russian creative intelligentsia included in the book, as well as literature about them. Data have been added for many Russian emigrants who lived and worked in Bulgaria
they subsequently emigrated to other countries. In addition, outside the personalities in this book, lists of representatives of the Russian emigration are included, for which there is additional data in two Russian books with authors-compilers TK Pchelintseva and KD Bendereva. Thus, this edition contains data or is a starting point for finding such for over 4700 representatives of the Russian emigration to Bulgaria from its first wave.
